Rice with Almonds and Dates 


1 cup (225 g / 8 oz.) rice
50 g / 2 oz. butter
50 g / 2 oz. almonds, blanched and halved
8 dates, stoned (they should be fresh, but dried ones will do, if plump)
50 g / 2 oz. sultanas
1 tsp. rosewater (but this can be omitted)

While the rice is standing, after cooking, melt the butter in a frying pan. Add the almonds, stirring until they turn golden. Now add the dates and sultanas, and cook, stirring, for a few more minutes. Remove from the stove and mix in the rose water, if used. Pile the rice on a dish and arrange the mixture on top of it. Serves 4-6.

Lemon is good for skin as well as our health ,

it is good and best in both senses ,we usually

use lemon to clean the stains on fabrics and

very oily utensils and dishes ,as far as skin is

concerned avoid directly applying lemon ,lime

or its zest directly to the skin it might cause

irretation as it is acidic in nature

How to make home glycerine

glycerine-5 to 10ml

rose water-5 to 10ml

method

add all the ingridents and put it in a small bottle

like the clone once i mean perfume bottle ,

do not increase the amount of lemon juice as

it might cause irretation and it causes scratches

on the skin ,rose water gives fresh effect in winter

as every thing is freezing and feels dull enjoy this

lotion .

Chicken Butternut Squash Soup

ingredients

  • 1 1/4
    pounds butternut squash, peeled, seeded, and cut in 3/4-inch pieces (4 cups)
  • 1
    small red onion, cut in 1/2-inch wedges
  • 1
    tablespoon curry powder
  • 1
    tablespoon olive oil
  • 3
    14 ounce can reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1
    15 – 16 ounce can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), rinsed and drained
  • 1/3
    cup dried apricots, snipped
  • 1/2
    cup chopped walnuts
  • 1
    teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4
    teaspoon freshly grated or ground nutmeg
  • 1
    deli-roasted chicken, cut up
  • Fresh cilantro leaves
    directions1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In shallow roasting pan toss squash and onion with curry powder and the 1 tablespoon oil. Roast, uncovered, 20 minutes or until tender. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F.

    2.In 4-quart Dutch oven combine roasted vegetables, broth, beans, and apricots. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Cook about 5 minutes. Transfer half the soup to food processor or blender. Cover; process or blend until smooth. Return to Dutch oven; heat through.

    3.Meanwhile, in bowl toss walnuts with 1 teaspoon oil and the nutmeg. Spread nuts on baking sheet. Bake 7 minutes or until golden and toasted. Reheat chicken according to package directions, if needed.

    4.To serve, top soup with nuts, chicken, and cilantro. Makes 6 main-dish servings.

Tips

  • Tips For Ramzan
    If you feel thirsty after having sehri meal, eat one or two dates chew them well and
    swallow them, after a minute or two, have a glass of water. You wont feel thirsty during the day, this is my tip i have tried it, pls pass this info to help others too and remember me and my family in ur prayers.
